Utilizing the latest techniques accompanied by innovative tools, Dr. Kiely has been performing hair transplant procedures for the residents of Bethesda, MD, for several decades.
What Is a Hair Transplant?
Hair transplant procedures involve taking hair from places where it grows abundantly and moving it to problem areas. Typically, hair is removed from the sides and/or back of the head and transplanted to the front or top of the head, in areas where balding is most prevalent. Following the procedure, hair will continue to grow naturally.
What Are the Procedures for Hair Transplant?
In his practice, Dr. Kiely uses follicular unit extraction (FUE), in which follicles are extracted from the back of the head one at a time and then placed where the hair is thinning. He also performs mini-micro grafting and micrografting, which involve surgically removing a strip of donor tissue from the neck before cutting it into smaller pieces and transplanting it to the recipient area.
How Do I Know What Treatment Is the Best Option?
Choosing a procedure can be difficult and confusing. When deciding which is right for you, there are many factors to consider, most notably your end goals.
